Kōrero Mai began with bilingual and immersion whānau meet-ups, te reo Māori classes, and wānanga, eventually leading to the establishment of our Māori language preschool, Te Puna Reo. Over the past year, Te Puna Reo has thrived, thanks to the incredible support and collaboration of our community.

This unique Early Learning Centre is the first of its kind in Northern Canterbury, Kaikōura, Marlborough, Nelson, and the West Coast regions, paving the way for innovative approaches to language revitalization and education.

We are now exploring opportunities to expand Kōrero Mai. With our collective qualifications, expertise, and passion for language revitalisation, public health, education, and finance, we would love to offer even more to our community. This includes ideas such as Level 1 & 2 te reo Māori courses and governance and management upskilling classes, including financial literacy.
